REJOICING WITH OUR OWN: A TESTAMENT TO COMMUNITY, COMPASSION, AND COMMITMENT

OziomaChi thriving society, the true essence of life is reflected not only in our individual achievements but in our ability to stand together — rejoicing with those who rejoice and mourning with those who mourn. This timeless principle is the heartbeat of every strong community, reminding us that unity and empathy are the pillars of collective progress.

As the Member representing Bende North in the Abia State House of Assembly, I hold this belief deeply. It was, therefore, both an honour and a personal delight to join our beloved sister, her husband, and the esteemed Agu family in the joyful celebration of their child’s nuptial ceremony held recently in Igbere.

Elder and Rev. Mrs. Agu U. Agu, cherished constituents and respected leaders within our community, have consistently exemplified the virtues of faith, unity, and service. Their family stands as a beacon of goodwill in Bende North, and celebrating with them on such a significant occasion was not just a responsibility but a heartfelt commitment.

In the spirit of solidarity, I attended the ceremony alongside my brother and colleague, Hon. Ikechukwu Monday, the Honourable Commissioner for Power and Public Utilities in Abia State. Together, we joined the Agu family in honouring this beautiful union and reaffirming our shared dedication to community support and unity.

Despite several competing engagements, I made it a priority to be present because moments like these define who we are — a people who stand together, uplift one another, and celebrate love, family, and new beginnings.

As we continue to build a more united, peaceful, and progressive Bende North, may we always remember that our greatest strength lies in our togetherness. Let us continue to embody compassion, mutual respect, and solidarity in all that we do.

Congratulations once again to the Agu family. May the new home be blessed with joy, peace, and divine favour.
