OziomaChi’s deeds as light for all of Bende North

“He Who Calls the Sun ‘Night'”

He who calls the sun “night”
does not change the sky.
The light still rises,
golden, bold, and high.

He who calls the river “dry”
does not empty the stream.
The waters still are singing,
flowing like a dream.

For what is named in bitterness
reveals the namer’s wound.
The tongue can only echo
what the heart has tuned.

But see how light still breaks forth
across our hills and land.
OziomaChi walks in service,
a lamp held in his hand.
Across all of Bende, his deeds shine,
building bridges, lifting men,
so that goodness may be witnessed
and called good again.

Goodness stands unshaken,
robed in patient light.
But eyes grown used to shadows
will mistake the day for night.

So when you hear the good called evil,
and truth is dressed as lies,
know it is not the truth that falters—
it is the vision in their eyes.

Let us guard our sight, O Umunna people,
let Eziokwu be our guide.
For the world is always speaking,
but the soul decides what it will hear inside.

Eziokwu bu ndu_ Truth is life.
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil Isaiah 5:20
